The Rich Family | First Anniversary Downtown Pensacola

Jo & Chuck’s downtown Pensacola family Christmas card/first anniversary session was a total blast. First we met at Ferdinand Plaza, where we danced and frolicked in the golden light. Then we walked over to the Pensacola Cultural Center for to polish off a bottle of champagne and a giant piece of their wedding cake from a year earlier.

This fam brings the party everywhere they go and I love it. I also love the outfits Jo put together for this session. They look like they could be headed to a Holiday party, but the mix of garnets, dusty blues, and neutrals and both fancy and casual pieces ensured the pictures aren’t overly seasonal.

If you haven’t already guessed, I love when families come prepared to have fun and not take pictures too seriously. If you want 40 photos of everyone staring down the camera, I’m not the photographer for you. But if you’re ready to dance, snuggle, and dig into a giant piece of cake or ice cream sundae… I’m your girl. It might feel chaotic, maybe a little ridiculous, perhaps like we aren’t getting anything ‘good’. But I’m telling you, if you can let go of your inhibitions… look at your FAMILY instead of the camera… well that’s where the magic happens.
